#Â 2 cups Rajma ( Red kidney beans)
#Â Salt to taste
#Â 1 Pinch of Turmeric powder
#Â 1 finely chopped Onion
#Â 3 crushed Garlic cloves
#Â 1 inch Ginger chopped
#Â 2 chopped Green chillies
#Â 3 chopped Tomatoes or chopped tomato tin
#Â 1/2 tsp Corainder powder
#Â 1/2 tsp Red chilli powder
#Â 1/2 tsp Garam masala
#Â 2 tbsp Vegetable Oil
#Â Fresh chopped Corainder leaves
#Â Salt to taste
#Â 1 Pinch of Turmeric powder

Methods/steps
- Soak rajma (red kidney beans) overnight.
- Wash and pressure cook the rajma. Keep aside.
- Heat oil in a pan then add ginger, garlic and chillies.
- Fry until they turn brown.
- Then add onions and tomatoes.
- Cook on medium heat until masala separates from oil.
- Add salt, turmeric powder and mix well.
- Add the rajma, red chilli powder, corainder powder, garam masala and stir.
- cook on low heat until a thick gravy is formed.
- Remove from fire.
- Garnish Rajma Masala curry with corainder leaves.
Additional Tips
Serve hot Rajma with rotis and/or boiled rice. You can also have yogurt as a side dish if you find the Rajma Masala too hot.
